Our school uniform gives an identity to all students. Wear it with pride. If parents or students are unsure about any items, please consult our uniform booklet or contact the school. This action may prevent you from wasting money on items we will not accept.

Black blazer with Wilsthorpe logo

A coat may be worn over the blazer for travelling to and from school. However, the blazer is compulsory every day. (The blazer may be relaxed in hot weather but only upon advice from the Headteacher).

Available from local supermarkets. Please check our uniform booklet if unsure. • Shirts with epaulettes, lace frills, coloured/fancy buttons or fashion logos cannot be worn. Shirts must be buttoned to the neck and long enough to tuck in. No bare midriffs.

Optional V Neck Jumper – Boys.

Optional V Neck Jumper or Cardigan – Girls.

• Any other type of black jumper or cardigan is not permitted. • Sweatshirts/hoodies are not permitted.

Plain black trousers or skirt.

• Trousers must be either straight or bootleg – no ‘skinny’ or ‘hipster’ styles are allowed.

• ‘Trousers’ does not include denim or ‘cargo’ style trousers or tracksuit bottoms. No embroidery or other ‘adornments’ will be allowed. Trousers must be either straight or boot cut – no ‘skinny’ or ‘hipster’ styles are allowed.

• Only pleated skirts will be allowed from September 2016. • Skirts should be knee length or just above the knee. Available from local supermarkets – please check our uniform booklet if unsure. If still unsure, please contact school before wasting money

• Fashion belts are not permitted.

• Red/grey stripe Wilsthorpe tie.

• Ties must be tied and placed correctly, no ties at ‘half-mast’ will be allowed.

Shoes

• Plain black shoes of a practical and safe style. Available from local supermarkets. Please check our uniform booklet if unsure. • Shoes does not mean trainers. No trainers of any sort are permitted Heavy boots, ankle boots or Ugg style boots are not permitted. Socks

• Plain black socks (trousers)

• Plain black socks (skirts)

• Plain black woollen/opaque tights • No other style or colour of socks is allowed.

PE Kit Indoor 

• White t-shirt or white polo shirt

• Black shorts

• Red football socks

• Training shoes

• Barefoot required for gymnastics & dance activities

Outdoor PE Kit

• Red Wilsthorpe shirt

• Black shorts

• Red football socks

• Training shoes (football boots are preferred for football)

• Plain black tracksuit bottoms or jogging bottoms – for winter months only (this is decided upon by the teacher).

• Shin pads are advised for hockey and football

• Gum shields are advised for invasion activities

In the interests of personal hygiene and safety and the cleanliness of the indoor PE facilities, indoor footwear must be brought, not worn to school, be properly fastened and suitable for the activity.
